Terr is created using Gantri’s Table Lights Product System, which provides a standard set of components, resources and toolkit to help designers develop high-quality products easily.
Concept
Terr brings the serene forms and textures of nature into the home. Perfect for ambiance lighting, Terr offers a subtle illumination of the space while highlighting its unique terrain-inspired patterns made possible by 3D printing.
Bhumika Soam
Bhumika is an illustrator, industrial designer, and “goofy workaholic” who aims to create products that leave a lasting impact on society. Born in Jaipur, she earned a bachelor’s in industrial design from India’s Symbiosis Institute of Design and an MFA from San Francisco’s Academy of Art University. She now works a product designer for ROAR for Good, a benefit corporation which aims to empower women and reduce assaults.
Process
Terr was manufactured by Gantri in San Francisco. The body of the product is constructed with our in-house 3D printing technologies and then carefully hand-finished by local craftsmen to achieve a smooth luxurious finish. High quality pre-engineered components are then assembled with the body and quality checked before they are delivered to customers.
