Under their new banner of the BOLDR Supply Company, the team behind the TRAVISLEON Heirloom and the BOLDR Voyage have just launched their latest timepiece – the BOLDR Journey.
The BOLDR Journey is a unique timepiece that bridges the old and new, modern and vintage – with a vintage aviator-inspired design, powered by a modern meca-quartz movement inside. For its wearers, the BOLDR Journey was designed as a watch that can stand by your side – through every trial and tribulation in life.
The BOLDR Journey is based on the popular BOLDR Voyage concept, with a vintage, aviator-inspired design. The Journey has a unique Seiko VK64 meca-quartz movement that keeps impeccable time, beneath a durable box mineral glass lens. The BOLDR Journey marks an important step in the journey of BOLDR Watches, overcoming previous challenges to create a striking, unique timepiece.
It’s also the first BOLDR watch to feature a limited-edition art piece on the caseback, created by notable Malaysian tattoo artist Kevin Tan. Much like the art found on the caseback, the BOLDR Journey is a unique mix of the old and the new, with a vintage aviator-inspired design, powered by a modern meca-quartz movement inside.

Watch Movement
The Seiko VK64 Meca-Quartz Movement is a hybrid of quartz and mechanical movement for the chronograph, combining the best of both technologies. The timekeeping mechanism is quartz, with a crystal regulator, powered by a battery. This gives the watch a mechanical feel, while still containing a quartz crystal so you never miss a tick.
Limited Edition Caseback Artwork
The BOLDR Journey was designed to celebrate first steps. In line with that, the custom art on the Journey’s caseback is based on the theme of taking the first step in your adventure – crafted by Malaysian tattoo artist Kevin Tan. Each BOLDR line of watches will possess a unique, custom-designed artwork on the case back – carefully created to represent each BOLDR line of watches, and what it represents.
Unique Domed Mineral Glass Lens
The domed shape of the box mineral glass lens lend the watch a vintage look, while creating a curved canopy, reminiscent of antique aviation dials. The mineral glass lens brings out the dial characteristics and highlights the watch face, while also scattering and breaking the light on the sandwich dial, creating a soft, even tone of light on the textured watch face.
Vintage, Aviation-inspired design
Mixing the best of the old and the new, the BOLDR Journey uses different textures on the double-layer sandwich dial to bring out the watch’s character. The watch face features a classic “Disc-Track” texture on the subdial to further highlight and accent the layers, while the numerals take inspiration from vintage aviation instrument arrangements, found in planes during the 30’s and 50’s.
