The LINEA was conceived as an entry-level addition to the Philips design line of cordless phones. The vertical design direction led to a very pure and striking object which perfectly integrates into modern living spaces. A magnet ensures a secure fit during charging, and a weight inside the base station ensures stability despite its slim stature. In developing the product both a comfortable and safe user experience and high economic efficiency were paramount: Within the design line, this product is the entry-level model at a very competitive retail price in the segment and outstanding profit margin.
