Inspired by Chicago’s 4378 shootings in 2016, ARUS is a concept for a feasible solution to improving safety and deterring crime in highly populated urban areas. ARUS is a remotely stationed and deployed first response unit that provides immediate surveillance and documentation prior to the arrival of ground units. Drastically reducing response time via air travel deters crime while also providing intel otherwise unobtainable. ARUS is an evolution of existing technology to provide law enforcement with a necessary tool.
