“Sputnik-5” is a coffee table and, at the same time, a capsule for herbs or flowers inspired by the Soviet cosmic satellite which was the first to put living objects including plants in an orbit and to bring them back to Earth. The table acts as a watchman of a plant bursting from the aperture of the marble surface. A small metal pyramid protects it against contacting with items placed on the table top: books, magazines, cups, etc. With the stone top off the table transforms into a flower-stand. All the details can be used independently as decor elements, a plant-pot or a plant-stand. Materials: marble, oak, metal rod.
