This instrument forms part of ‘MULTI’, a sonic installation designed by MONAD Studio in collaboration with musician/luthier Scott F. HallThe project is a fully 3D printed art installation hosted by Meckler Media at the 3D Print Design Show Javits Convention Center, New York.It consists of a 5 meters x 2 meters framework that holds five music instruments:- 2-string piezoelectric violin – 1-string electric travel bass guitar (monobarasitar)- 1-string piezoelectric monovioloncello- small didgeridoo- hornucopian (large didgeridoo)Three performers play live the 5 instruments as well as the sonic wall, that serves as bandshell and instruments’ rack.The framework itself is also another instrument which produces a drone, sonic environment that highlights the radical design of these instruments.Project Team: Jack Garcia, Stephanie Colon, Zoe Zoe Russian, Stephany Guinan, Albert Elias, Hex Ceballos, Manuel Perez-Trujillo.
