Eddoko is a lamp inspired by the Yamaha MT motorcycle collection and the Dark Side of Japan style. The name makes reference to an Edo period Tokyo dweller, who was characterized by his assertiveness and toughness. The lamp’s form results from combining two tradi-tional Japanese items – the bokut6 wooden training sword and the paper lantern. The floor lamp, that can also serve as a motorcycle helmet or jacket hanger, can perform equally well as a stylish and useful decoration element for a motorcycle fan or a unique comple-ment fora Yamaha living room. The simple, almost raw form makes reference to Japanese minimalism and the philosophy of emptiness.
