Long Animals is a set of wooden block toys to assemble that are born in order to lasting over time.
Plastic in the current throwaway culture is a serious problem for the planet. This problem is aggravated when we talk about toys, because their life cycle is much lower than in other products. In addition, safety is more important for the sector than the impact of the toy once used, so 90% of the toys are made of plastic and of these 80% end up in landfills or in the ocean. The packaging of the toy is also a problem since it is thrown away at the time of opening the toy.
To solve this problem, a completely wooden toy (product and packaging) was created, creating an educational, durable and respectful product on our planet. To reduce waste, the inner piece of packaging that protects the blocks is made of wood debris mixed with the fungus Pleurotus ostreatus. The mixture is introduced into the mold to grow mycelium, creating a light and ecological protective structure.
